Not Funny

Robin Williams, 1951 - 2014

Last night, I looked out at the sunset over The City as the marine layer slid in, thinking: Robin Williams doesn't get to see this. He doesn't get to see another one of these.

One more Mensch gone; what a world. At least we had him in it, for a while.

  1. Maybe it's good that his earthly troubles are over. However, if he had asked my advice, I would have recommended the "knotted rope method" - when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on tight.

    1. I don't even know how my toaster works, so I can't claim any understanding of what we're doing here or even where 'here' is, so I have even less of an idea what happens after we die ("What; you call this living?") or if committing suicide matters as a form exit, or not.

That said, it's ironic the character he played in "What Dreams May Come" traveled the afterlife to rescue his wife from being trapped in her own bit 'o Bardo after committing suicide.
